Skullduggery
The skull speaks. “It all started after I died. Life was good; it was me and Sherlock, Sherlock and me. For eight years we had a great thing going, we understood each other, we were simpatico. And then he showed up.”
Oh, this fic is WONDERFUL~ I’m still grinning like an idiot because of the ending. After the events reported in All That Glitters, Aurora Aurelia Abbington (aka Rory, Triple A, the skull on the mantelpiece), is back to tell us what happened on the night “Doctor John H. Watson asked Mr. Sherlock Holmes to marry him.” I love Rory as a narrator, and this story is hilarious and heart-breaking and beautiful and just the right amount of sexy. The boys were pretty much in character, and my heart ached for both of them in this, especially in the middle. Sherlock is SUCH an idiot some times… The ending is perfect, though, and exactly what the boys needed. There was quite a lot of sex through the story, but Rory and I aren’t complaining. ;) You don’t need to read All That Glitters to enjoy this fic, but I would recommend that you do so you can get used to the narrative style and Rory’s hilarious interjections. Mature readers only for sexy-times.
